The image above is another example of this! Meet Alexa and Natalie! I did Natalie’s senior portraits in 1990; she even brought in her 8 way folio of her senior pictures to show me! I just photographed her daughter Alexa, a senior at Lindbergh High School in Renton, WA. Josh posted a highlight video of her recent senior portraits on our Seniors by Hudson’s Facebook Page, check it if you want!
Also, today I have a wedding consultation for a high school senior I photographed about 11 years ago. She was also a bridesmaid for another former high school senior’s wedding I shot 6 years ago up at Newcastle Golf Course. Her mom lives on the same lake I do and was actually really good friends with my late wife Sue Hudson in high school. Life, business, and my career as a professional photographer are truly all about relationships!
Below is a behind the scenes video of a recent commercial photography session at Dr. Jeffery Kashner’s in Covington, WA. And guess what? Surprise, surprise, he is also a family portrait client!
Here’s some food for thought…I love photographing food! When I got into this business 28 years ago I never saw myself as a commercial photographer, let along one who creates food images. But over the past 6-7 years my clients have been begging me to create the same level of photography for their businesses as I do for their family portraits, wedding photography, and children portraits. But I have to tell you, I really enjoy helping businesses showcase their products and services in a meaningful and impactful way.
For those of us in business for ourselves, the last few years have been challenging to say the least. We’re all looking for the edge; it’s cool to think that my photography (and video productions) is making a difference in their marketing. And best of all, after the photo shoot is over, I get to eat the food! My son Josh put together a “Day in the Life” video last Saturday during one of our other food photography photo sessions; check out that video on our Youtube Channel.
The video embedded on this blog is from Armondo’s Café Italiano in Renton, WA. I photographed their new chef, some of his new dishes, and some new signature drinks. If you haven’t been to Armondo’s lately, oh boy, are you in for a treat! The new food is amazing! Their new chef Tom Small brings a fresh, local, and creative way to cooking to Armondo’s that is already becoming the talk of the town in Renton. Stop in a try some of the new dishes for yourself!
