Over the years YOU our clients have expressed to us that you would love to have the option of spreading out your portrait investments over time. Well, those requests have not come of deaf ears! All we needed was to find a company that we felt represents the level of trust, quality, and flexibility that you have come to know us for. This morning we had a great meeting with a company that fits all of those needs!
So, if you have been holding off updating that family portrait, some new children’s photography of the kiddos, or you’re dreading the investment of professional wedding coverage, we have an option for you! Hudson’s now offers financing! To learn more please give us a call or we would love to discuss it with you during your pre-portrait consultation!
One of my fellow Rotarians and “wine buddies” Russ Price just turned 85! 5 years ago I was asked to photograph some family portraits at his home in Renton, WA while his children were in town to celebrate his 80th birthday. Well, 5 years later I was once again tasked with capturing another milestone event in his life. This time, we hit 4 generations with the portrait!
All of us have events in our lives that bring our families together. Whether it’s a family reunion, a wedding, grad party, the holidays, or an 85th birthday party, they are all the perfect times to update those family portraits!
Thanks again for letting me be part of your family and your special event Russ, you da man!
LOL! Bruce is going to be a grandpa again; Josh’s wife Melissa is pregnant with the newest little Hudson! What an exciting time here are Hudson’s! Every month we are tasked with photographing numerous First Year Baby Plans here at the studio. This is where we photograph mom pregnant, the baby when it’s a few days old, and then a portrait session every month for the first year. It’s amazing to see how much these little ones change in just one year. I should know, I process all the images! We then put together a custom album that showcases the baby’s first year. Well, it’s about to come full circle!
You see, Josh was the official First Year Baby Plan client here at Hudson’s! Bruce and Sue had only been in business for about 3 months before Josh was born. Then, having a new little baby around the studio, led to Josh being photographed every week! Now, his newest addition is sure to get plenty of attention from Grandpa Bruce behind the camera!
Last Saturday we did our first ever pet portrait promotion at Terri’s new pet boutique in Enumclaw! What a blast! I look forward to doing more of them in the future. This was one of my favorite shots from the day; I call it “Band of Brothers!” All 4 of these dogs are brothers and the owners wanted me to capture their fun personalities. Just like with photographing people, it’s all about capturing the exact moment a subject bares their inner soul. It’s actually a little easier with pets, lol!
Since our initial “Pet” Folio Model Search back in March (highlights are on Facebook and our Pet Portraits by Hudson’s Blog Page), we’ve photographed almost every kind of dog and cat you can think of. But, the most dogs I have photographed at one time is 2, so this was a new challenge in itself. It went so well Josh and I are thinking of coming up with a Doggy Play Date Session here at the studio!
Basically, bring in your dog and a few of your dog’s friends (and owners too) and we’ll photograph all of them together, separately, and then everyone splits the session fee! Plus, we’ll give everyone a discount on purchasing a group photo! If you’re interested, click on the Pet Portraits by Hudson’s page on this blog. Or call the studio to schedule your complimentary Pet Portrait Consultation!
I heard on the news last night that it’s been over 270 days since the temperature has gone above 75 degrees in Seattle. We’ve had a lot of clients express interest in having their family photographed this summer, but want to wait until the weather gets nicer. So for those of you who have been patiently waiting for the thermometer to hit 75, here’s an offer for you!
To celebrate this “historic” 75 degree day here in the Northwest, all family session fees are just $75!
That’s right; all studio or on-location session fees will be just $75 until tomorrow (June 24th) at 4:00pm. Just call us, pay the $75 session fee, and when you’re ready to have the session this summer or fall it won’t cost you $150-$250! Sweet deal! But after June 24th at 4:00pm, they will go back to our normal rate.
If you have thinking of having your family portrait done this summer or even this fall, this is a no brainer! Give us a call! If you’re not in need a new family portrait, chances are you know someone who is. Pass this along to them; they will love you for it! Plus, you’ll qualify for some great referral benefits too!
Happy 75 Degrees Seattle, we’ve waited a LOOOOOONG time for this! LOL!
Call me a hopeless romantic, but after all these years, I still love weddings! It’s an honor to put in charge of arguably the most important aspect of the wedding, the documentation! 5, 10, or 15 years from now Jenny and Joel will be able to look back through their album and instantly be transformed back to their life altering day. One of the biggest compliments I can get is from a former bride and groom is that they still proudly display their album even after 25 years in some cases.
Thanks Jenny and Joel for an amazing start to the 2010 wedding season! Check out some of their image highlights in the slideshow below and check out some video highlights on Facebook in the coming days!
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to attend my Rotary Club’s District Conference in Portland, OR. During this event I had the honor of being asked to photograph a legend from the music world, Mr. Marvin Hamlish. He was our keynote speaker and preformed on Friday evening. The purpose of the shoot was for an ad in the International Rotary Magazine promoting our Polio Plus campaign. It will be fun to see the ad published in the coming months!
When the ad comes out I will totally share it will you! Even after 28 years of photography, photographing a celebrity can still be a little scary, but Mr. Hamlish was an easy going guy and made my job easy! Thanks Marv and thanks to Rotary for giving me this task!
